For your group projects, you will be required to develop a small Website. This Website will be about the category that you choose. I will give you ideas below, or you can discuss any other ideas with me. These projects are meant to improve your knowledge of Web page development as well as improve your English.

• Your Group Projects must be finished by 8-17 (Thursday, the day before you leave). You will present you projects on that day to the public (any visitors who come to the Lingua Lab).
• Each student will be graded on their contribution to the project, so you must give the instructor a list of what each student did.
• You must have a project home page. On here you should describe your project, the group members , the teacher, the class that this is part of, the University of Illinois, the Intensive English Institute, and Senshu University. (With Links to the homepages of each)
• Each group member must then make Web pages for their part of the project.
• All pages must have a link back to the project homepage.
• Each project and each subject must be described fully in English as well as with pictures, links, etc...
• Groups should try to keep colors and styles similiar in their project Websites.

  Topics

  • Describe (in detail) three cities or prefectures in Japan. (i.e., attractions, travel, housing, culture, etc...)
    • 3 students
    • This should be done by students who live(d) in these cities/prefectures.
  
  
  • Describe the Senshu Summer in Illinois Program in detail (i.e., trips, activities, teachers, school, etc...)
  • 3 students
  
  
  • Describe Champaign-Urbana (i.e., activities, entertainment, restaurants, shopping, etc...)

  • Describe American Culture from your perspective (i.e., culture shock, education, etc...)
    • 2 students

   

  If you want to do something else please discuss it with me. The topics above are only a starting point, but if you change any of them too much please talk to me first.
