Indiana English is a service offered by the Center for English Language Training (CELT) Intensive English Program (IEP) for incoming Indiana University, Bloomington international students.

Comments from current and past international students have encouraged us to develop online lessons that focus on basic life skills necessary for new international students. Culture shock is normal for people who travel outside of their native culture. Indiana English is being developed because we believe that the more knowledge and preparation that you have before arriving, the less culture shock you will experience and the better your stay in Bloomington will be.

These lessons are continually being developed, with new lessons being added regularly. If you do not see a lesson that interests you today come back tomorrow.
