Global Education Workshop (EdGlobal)

Context

During the summer of 2003, I was hired to update an existing website for the Global Education Workshop. This website was designed by a graphic artist, with little regard for scalability or editing of the website by EdGlobal staff. I suggested a re-design of the site at that timeand was hired to do so in fall 2003.

Conditions

The original design was heavily graphic-based and difficult to change. In the re-design, I wanted to make the website easily navigable and easy to update by staff with minimal experience with Web design. With those goals in mind, I re-designed the entire site, excluding the content.

Scope

Unfortunately, the site does not seem to have changed since I delivered it in October, 2003. The program was put on hold soon after I finished work on the site, but I have been told that they plan to reinstitute the workshop in summer 2005.
