Poster Sessions
What's My Progress?
- At this point in the course, students have been working on two separate
but related assignments: a research paper and an Instructional Unit.
- These two projects require that the student do research on a particular
aspect of teaching writing and work that into a related unit for use in
an existing or fictional class with a well-defined learner and context
analysis.
- For the poster session students will present what they have found
thus far in the project cycle and relate that to the class they are designing
the Instructional Unit for.
- These presentations should be short (about 10-15 minutes), briefly
summarize their current progress, and may utilize various means of presentation
aides (i.e., PowerPoint, transparencies, blackboard/whiteboard, etc.).
